Burning Ice
Burning IceThe shortest day of they ear in Yellowknife in 2016 lit up a garden of ice sculptures in Yellowknife Bay with golden sunshine. I sat there for an hour, hunkered down against -34C temperatures to capture this image.

Warships of Lake Superior
Warships of Lake SuperiorA curious collection of old boats sit on the rocks at Neys Provincial Park.In a former life they were used to ferry German prisoners of war to logging camps inland when the park was an internment camp in World War II. They now sit in the open air, where people can explore their rusting frames.
Water Bull
Water BullHad an unexpected visitor while trying to take pictures of an abandoned shack in Killarney, a little bullfrog hiding on a debris raft. It was still enough I could get right up next to it with the long lens for an extreme close-up portrait.
Quiet Reflection
Quiet ReflectionA quiet, foggy evening on the shores of Lake Superior at Neys Provincial Park made for an eerie image of driftwood next to a creek. No wind meant the water was as clear as glass, making for a perfect reflection. Giving it an alternate word feel in the fading light.
